Privacy
Grove and the Grove Chrome extension don't ask for an account and don't collect personal information.
- Your name, layout and widget choices are saved in your browser's local storage. That data never leaves your browser, and clearing your browser data removes it.
- Weather, news and other widget data is fetched by our server from public sources. Your browser only talks to Grove.
- The Chrome extension only replaces your new tab page with Grove. Its one permission, "search", sends what you type in the search bar to your own default search engine, the same as typing in the address bar. It can't read your browsing history or other tabs.
- Searches go straight from your browser to your search engine. Grove never sees or stores them.
- Our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for a short time to keep the site running. We don't sell or share them, and we don't use ads or tracking cookies.
If you submit a campus photo, we use your name only to credit the photo.
